We love our cats. But we hate what comes with them — the heavy bags, the dust clouds, the smell, the mess.
Clay litter was the only option for decades, and honestly, it sucks. It’s ugly, it’s filthy, and it’s strip-mined from the earth — leaving behind scars on the planet that never heal. Every single year, more than eight billion pounds of that stuff ends up sitting in landfills.

Our search for a real solution led us somewhere unexpected — to coconut farms.
Around the world, coconuts are harvested for water, milk, and oil, but their husks are usually tossed out. That waste became our inspiration. We learned that the same fiber that naturally breaks down into rich topsoil could also make the perfect litter base: light, clean, soft under paws, and totally renewable.
So we teamed up with environmental scientists and material engineers, mixed a lot of prototypes (and cleaned up a few epic fails), and built something no one had before — a solid-clumping, 100% sustainable coconut litter that cats actually love.

Island Kitty isn’t just eco-friendly; it’s better in every way that matters.
Each bag weighs under three pounds — 90% lighter than clay. It clumps beautifully, controls odor naturally, and creates zero dust. It doesn’t track through your house, and your cat takes to it instantly because it feels just like dirt — because, well, it basically is dirt.
Each bag lasts one cat for a full month. Light to carry. Clean to pour. Easy to love.
We built Island Kitty for people who care about their cats and their world.
Because litter shouldn’t live forever in a landfill.
Because you shouldn’t have to choose between what works and what’s right.
Because every cat deserves a little piece of paradise — and every home deserves a little more peace.
Our goal is simple but bold: eliminate 1 billion pounds of clay litter waste every year.
